Grade 1 & 2 

This week in Literacy, we have been reading the book "Mr McGee and the Elephants". We have been working on our rhyming skills and this was the perfect book to help us practise!

One of the phrases in the book includes: 

"Would you like a cup of tea and even a slice of bread with a little butter and vegemite spread?" 

The children enjoyed sharing their favourite spreads that they like to eat on bread. These included butter, vegemite, jam, Nutella, peanut butter and sprinkles. As a fun Language Experience, we decided to have a go at making different bread creations with some of these spreads. We had a wonderful time making them and an even better time eating them!!
