Liam Harrison is a Year 11 student who completed work placement with De Castella Design & Construction in Yea. Liam who resides in Yea sourced this opportunity by himself and was motivated to transition this into a school-based apprenticeship. Liam applied himself by displaying a proper work ethic and genuine interest in the industry. When contact was made with his employer Will De Castella, an explanation followed as Will wanted to get a better understanding of the school-based apprenticeship program. After numerous conversations, a commitment was given by the employer to offer Liam the opportunity to commence a school-based carpentry apprenticeship. This has resulted in Liam now working two (2) days per week with the training being delivered to the workplace by Murray Mallee Training.   

This is a great outcome for Liam.
