What’s Cooking?
Students are settling in quite well to the routines of Food Technology classes. Hygiene, safety, skills and presentation have been the focus for all students in years 7-9. Last week we completed breakfast foods with our year 7 and 8s using large knifes to cut consistent sizes of fruit for fruit salad and the year 9s made crepes or pancakes. We are very impressed with the student’s efforts to present their food to a desired level. It is also fabulous to see the change in students wanting to eat what they have made. Over the next 4 weeks, we move into baking recipes, so look forward to seeing choc chip biscuits, top deck slice, lemonade scones and muffins.
