OSHC at Marion

At Marion OSHC we are committed to providing quality learning opportunities, delivered in a safe, secure and stimulating environment.

During OSHC this term we will be focusing on reminders about sustainability e.g. recycling. The children have been busy in OSHC in weeks 5 and 6 with lots of outdoor play with activities including wheels day on the Pupil Free Day, playing bases on the oval, long jump practice, nature play, ball skills, hand tennis, sandpit play.  We also did a very special fondant icing mold activity. The children really enjoyed learning how to mold, paint, glitter and decorate this edible craft. 

Sensory activities continuing through this term we are programming activities involving sensory play. This week we made edible foam and next week we are making yoghurt slime. We have also programmed a variety of other activities for next week including cooking, glitter art, friendship and loom band making.

The October Vacation Care Program pack is available in the OSHC room, Front Office, in the school newsletter and on the school website. Lots of fun activities so get your children’s bookings in as soon as possible. Parents are welcome to offer suggestions for programming ideas and to participate on our OSHC committee which meets twice a term. Being a member of this committee gives families the opportunity to have even more input into the program and if anyone is interested in becoming involved, please come and talk to Guy or myself. 

Most families are entitled to Child Care Subsidy so please apply to Centrelink to see if you are eligible. Subsidy is applied to all fees including the additional ones for excursions and Incursions.

The following fees are without subsidy applied and are per child:

Before School Care:  $16.00         After School Care:  $26.00

Pupil Free Day:  $54.00                  Vacation Care:  $54       

Incursion Extra: $20.00                  Excursion:  $30.00
