Australian Dance Theatre

All students were delighted to work with members of the Australian Dance Theatre, led by their Learning Coordinator, Adrianne Semmens, who is also a member of the Marion Primary School community, in workshops across 2 days. They were able to connect with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander histories and experiences. Learning how to develop dance from ideas through workshopping and sharing to rehearsing, polishing, and performing. Students grew their confidence and skills as they worked with the professionals. 

The dancers also shared their own life stories so we could understand the pathways they've taken from primary students like us to performing for worldwide audiences.
