Spring is here; the flowers are radiant, the wind is warm, the sun is out, the grass is growing, the bees are buzzing, the weather is unpredictable, the magpies are swooping, and the anticipation of the grand final is unbearably exciting.
And yet, it only takes the smallest of winds to swirl around the flowers and grasses whisking the pollens and seeds up into the air to transform a human being into a HAY FEVER MONSTER: watery itchy beastly red eyes, relentless sneezing, an irritating cough, tiredness, and an unappeasable itchy nose.
The bad news is that the warmer and drier conditions are impacting the growth and flowering cycles of trees, plants and grasses resulting in an early HAY FEVER season. The good news is that it may not be so bad as previous years.
Regardless, if you have a child that suffers from Hay Fever and you would like to set them up to have a successful day of learning, socializing and alertness, then having a proactive hay fever plan will be beneficial for your child, your child’s teacher, and yourself. What can you do?
