Principal's message
Farewell
It is with mixed emotions that I bring you news around our fabulous colleague, Ms. Kester, who has been an invaluable member of the Alvie Primary School community for the past four years. Ms. Kester's has just been appointed to a new teaching role at Apsley Primary School to commence in Term 4.
Ms Kester has shown an unwavering commitment to her students, her dedication to excellence in teaching, and her warm presence in our school community have left a mark on all of us.
During her time at Alvie PS, Ms. Kester has not only been a remarkable educator but also a source of inspiration and support to both students and staff. Her passion for teaching and her ability to create a nurturing learning environment have helped countless students thrive academically and personally and her current Yr1/2 classes academic progression is a direct result of this passion.
As she embarks on this new chapter in her life, we extend our heartfelt gratitude for her contributions to our school and wish her the very best in all her future endeavors. Ms. Kester, you will be deeply missed. Her last day at Alvie Primary School will be Friday the 15th of September.
We are currently in the recruiting stage for a Term 4 teacher with the Yr1/2 class. We are hoping to finalise this by the end of this term as the position will commence on the first day of Term 4. We will keep all families in the loop as this progresses.
Footy Fever Day
Dear Parents and Carers,
On Friday 15th September all of Alvie PS will be having a Footy Fever Day. We, on behalf of Alvie PS, are encouraging students to come to school dressed in their favourite football (AFL, Soccer, Rugby etc) team colours.
The day will involve a number of activities, from football skills including handballing and kicking to a football match, Staff/Parents Vs Students.
The match will start at 1:00pm and parents are welcome to come and join in.
Any questions for the day please feel free to ask a student from Yr5/6 or a staff member.
Kind regards,
Bella S.
