Principal News

We are having a great final week to Term 3. Yesterday our school acknowledged R U OK? day with a lunchtime dodgeball game, students from Carrum Downs Secondary Collage working in collaboration with some of our students to run R U OK? sessions in the Year 6 classrooms and various other activities across the school.

Yesterday afternoon I spent some time in the Year 6 classrooms where they were talking about different ways that you can check in if someone is ok. Some examples I saw the students come up with were, How are you feeling? Did something happen? You ok bro? Can I help you?

R U OK? Day gives us the opportunity to inspire and empower everyone to meaningfully connect with the  people around them and start a conversation with those in their world who may be struggling with life. You don't need to be an expert to reach out - just a good friend and a great listener.

We have our Football Parade on today and a great feel across the school with students and staff dressed in footy gear. I hope all students, staff and families have a great school holiday break. I am looking forward to seeing everyone back for Term 4. Please make sure all students return to school with a broad brimmed and named hat for all outdoor activities next term.
