The opening came at a perfect time, following the PULiima Language conference and allowed for Jaimee Ross to attend to network with the AEA staff of Walgett, gather ideas and knowledge from their experienced language teacher of the Walgett school, Mr John Brown (JB) who has over 20 years of experience speaking and teaching yuwaalaraay language.

Moree Dhiiyaan Aboriginal Centre

Continuing their learning about Aboriginal Peoples Oral and Written Expression, Mrs Clarke's two Aboriginal Studies classes (Year 8 & Stage 5) accompanied by Jett Sampson (AEA) attended the Moree Dhiiyaan Aboriginal Centre where they met with Raquel Clarke. Students were given the opportunity to engage in story sharing and viewing of Aboriginal written expression. It was a great way for students to immerse into local history, artefacts, view videos and photos. Both classes enjoyed a family tree worksheet activity.
