SPORTS WINTERFEST - WHAT A SHOW!
July 29 saw all Chevalier sports teams competing in the Independent Sporting Association play at home. We decided this was a great opportunity to celebrate our community - past, current and future - and to re-ignite our Chev spirit.
So our inaugural Sports Winterfest was born. Over 2000 people visited our campus to watch sport and then celebrate our community with festive brews, winter feasting and fireworks.
It was particularly special to see many of our past students back on campus, some of whom travelled from interstate and overseas to join us. A special mention must be made to the 2001 Rugby First XV who made a weekend of the occasion and were very gracious in their support and encouragement of our current First XV.
Huge thanks to our major sponsors, the Chevalier Past Students Association, who generously sponsored the fireworks. They were absolutely incredible - a crescendo of colourful explosions lighting up the night sky in a spectacular display.
The Chev spirit was well and truly alive.
Thank you to our community, past, present and future, and the CPS for making it such an enjoyable and memorable event.
