Happy snaps with our School based apprenticeship Vocational Major students at National Food Institute and GRE8 here are some of their photos both at Horticulture and Supply Chain Operations in Dandenong South:
Here is a highlight from one of our Vocational Major students Jerome-Ioane WILLIAM who will be completing his School based apprenticeship (SBAT) in Retail and Supply Chain Operations with REECE – Metalflex in Dandenong.
Overview:
Friday December 10, 2021 01:15 PM Jerome was successful in his SBAT - Trainer is Leonie Sanders and Manager David Bell. Start date 8/12/21 and end date 7/12/23.
Jerome's last day at REECE is on 5th Dec 2023. Congratulations Jerome for completing all the theory involved with this SBAT. REECE has been a great employer for you Jerome and please return the favour.
Westall Secondary College sincerely thanks Renee, David Bell and Leonie Sanders for this opportunity. To Jerome, work diligently and only good things will come your way in future.
I take this opportunity to thank South East Community Links, Karen Vergara and Andrew Simmons, Chief Executive Officer, Bec Young, Nadia Conn and members from South East LLEN for all their support during this term. Working with staff at the Westall HUB needs a special mention too.
I also take this opportunity to thank Miss Alice Paget, Assistant Principal for supporting our VET Kitchen Operations students with their weekly VET program during Chef Kessler’s unfortunate accident.
Supporting Mr. Travis McIntosh, Vocational Major Co-ordinator, Mr. Bottomley, Ms Lee Read, Miss Donna Yuen and Mr. Nick Smith with our Vocational Major students completing their Structured work placements, VET programs and School based apprenticeships has been high priority this term.
Sincere thanks to Mrs Parlanti and her friendly team, and Mrs Vicky, Ms Barb and Mrs Kim for all their support.

Thanks to our teachers Mr. Ralph Richardson and Mr James Greywolfe, SECL and Westall’s partnership with ‘Inspired By You’, culminated in 42 of our students attending the IBY ‘Empower through Connections’ Workshops where our students worked with and listened to a key note speaker from Microsoft who spoke about his unique journey to success and fulfilment to inspire students to see what’s possible for their own future.
SECL offered small group mentoring sessions after the workshop. It was an amazing opportunity for anyone seeking advice and guidance over studies, careers and traversing the world of work as a young person.
