Today is National Day of Action Against Bullying.
Bullying prevention can start in the early childhood years through the helpful guidance of both parents and educators. You don’t need to use the word ‘bullying’ to begin to teach young children a wide range of skills that will prevent bullying.
Supporting young children to understand, express and manage individual emotions, as well as the ability to understand and respond to the emotions of others, provides a foundation for positive personal friendships.
On this National Day of Action Against Bullying, Australian schools come together to raise awareness about bullying prevention. This year is all about Growing Connections.
Growing positive connections with other students and the broader school community can enhance students' cognitive, behavioural and emotional engagement.
