Fun(d)raising and working bees

We are delighted to report on a very successful trivia night held on 10 November. The trivia night was organised by the School Council Fundraising Team and raised over $10,500 to contribute to a makeover of the student toilet facilities.

The school is appreciative of the hard work of school councillor, Francisca in coordinating the small band of volunteers who wrote the trivia questions, organised food and drinks for sale on the night, sought or made donations for the online auction, set up and packed up the space. Particular thanks to April for hosting the quiz! 

 

Thanks to volunteers at recent working bees, you have really made a difference.

Our city working bee held on 18 November focused on creation of garden beds near the Music rooms and planting of a variety of native plants and trees, laying of ti tree mulch, cleaning up atrium pruning of trees along Arnold street. 

 

The recent Mirimbah working bee was also a garden clean up of vegetation, especially along the property boundaries where fire hazard
