We did it!
We have raised enough money to build our new playground! Our recent events have raised the final amount needed for our new playground:
We have contracted Richard Bellemo (our landscape designer) and he has planned to build slides from the tiered platforms into the sandpit, play area with monkeybars, spin bars and climbing nets and more - all set inside natural, timber uprights. Richard will commence building the playground in late November when the ground is less wet. Thank you everyone for the huge effort in supporting all of our fundraising efforts so far this year.
Father's Day Stall
Our Father's Day Stall was a huge success again this year! There would have been lots of dads/grandpa's/special persons with smiles on their faces on Sunday morning. Special thanks to Kerryann who co-ordinated the whole event, Nicola, Gigi, Kristy, Eima, Erin, Jill, Ivan, Grace, Kate, Emily, Sammie and Emily for helping out on the stall (Oh, and Adrian). Also a big thankyou to those who donated gifts; Chris, Nadeen, Marten, Gillian, Kate, Heidi, Jade, Chloe, Jule and Bao. We couldn't do this without our Parent Volunteers, you are greatly appreciated!

Comfortable talking to your kids about technology and the internet?
We will be hosting a ThinkUKnow presentation on Wednesday 4 October at 7pm for all parents, carers and teachers. ThinkUKnow Australia, is an evidence based education program delivered nationally to prevent online child sexual exploitation. ThinkUKnow Australia is a partnership between the Australian Federal Police, Microsoft Australia, Datacom and the Commonwealth Bank of Australia. The program is delivered in collaboration with policing partners New South Wales Police Force, Northern Territory Police, Queensland Police, South Australia Police, Tasmania Police, Western Australia Police, as well as Neighbourhood Watch Australasia.
The presentation will be delivered by a local law enforcement member and an industry volunteer. The presentation is pro-technology and addresses topics including self-generated child abuse material, online grooming, sexual extortion, and importantly encourages help seeking behaviour. This is a fantastic opportunity for you to learn more about young people and the online environment, and how you can help them to be safe and responsible users of technology. For more information, you can visit www.thinkuknow.org.au or contact me.
