Jaxon Scoble and Jed Cox-
I was so grumpy because I was awake so early. We had to get to school at 8:05am. We got there and guess what I saw, a sheep! 3/4 and 5/6 went to athletic sports. The events that we participated in were high jump, long jump, 100m sprint, hurdles, triple jump, discus, shot put and the long distance run.
(Jed) I was feeling down because I didn’t win any events, but then Dad told me that it was all about spending time and having fun with my friends. We didn’t get to do relays because the bus driver came early and couldn't wait for us.
(Jed) My favourite part of the day was definitely running with Jaxon in the long distance race.
(Jaxon) my favourite part of the day was high jump because I came first.
Willow Brooks:
Monday was so cool! We got a speaker to use on the oval. It lights up and me, Evie, Jess, Olivia, Hazel, Hannah, Sophie, Chloe, Belle and some of the preps had lots of fun. We did this circle thing and took turns dancing and we loved it. We have fun making up dances and doing gymnastics to the music.
Sophie Connelly:
On Thursday the 10th of August we went to the Athletics Day in Kyabram. We participated in discus, shot put, sprint, distance, hurdles, high jump, triple jump, and long jump. I won a first place ribbon in long jump and a third place ribbon in hurdles. I was so excited when I won first place. Everyone had a great day, including me!

Science Week Incursion:
On Monday we had Emma and Isaac from Twisted Science come and do an incursion to kick off National Science Week. They did lots of fun experiments like launching rockets using vinegar and bi-carb soda, popping lids off containers using liquid nitrogen, they showed us what happens when you add water to liquid nitrogen, they made a balloon shrink using liquid nitrogen. They also showed us lots of cool things with air, like making a vacuum seal on a human, making balls and balloons hover over a hairdryer and blowing up a plastic bag really quickly, which Emily got to have a go at. We had lots of fun at the incursion, and can’t wait to see what else we get up to for National Science Week. Thank you to Mrs. Kerlin for organising this awesome incursion!
