The Year 07 2026 Parents/Carers Welcome and Information Evening, Tuesday 20 November 2025

 

The presentation will include specific information about your child’s transition to high school, presented by:

This is an evening for parents/carers and students, providing you with an opportunity to meet the Principal and Year 07 Team. 

 

There will be an opportunity to clarify information or ask questions at the conclusion of the presentation. 

 

Where:      G Block (follow signage)

When:       Thursday 20 November 6.30 pm - 8pm

Orientation Day, Tuesday 9 December 2025

9.00am - 3.00pm 

 

All new Year 07 students will have a chance to meet with our school community and fellow students including, College Captains, Home Group teachers, and teachers. Students also experience a taste of the secondary school learning program. 

 

The program will cover: 

  • Meeting some of their Year 07 Teachers
  • Meeting their Year 07 cohort
  • Participation in a variety of ice-breaker activities and subject sessions
  • Familiarising themselves with the College

Finish at 3pm

 

What to bring/wear:

  • Casual clothes
  • Water bottle, recess snack and lunch
  • Musical instrument if possible

 

Transition Days 2026

 

Date: Starting Thursday 29 January

 

On the first day, there will be an assembly in G Block, arrive at school by 8.45 am

Students should bring:

  • Laptop
  • paper and pens

NO textbooks needed on the first day

 

Students will be provided with a locker and lock during the first few days of school students should label all of their textbooks etc at home before the first day.

 

Students will be involved in:

  • Homegroup teacher time; this involves students learning how to use their Learning planner, read the timetable, organise their books and files, combination padlock and locker orientation
  • Literacy and numeracy testing
  • Rock and Water Program
  • Positive Education
  • Mindfulness
  • ICT and Library Orientation - PLEASE BRING YOUR LAPTOP ON FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL
