Devotion

As School Concert approaches, there’s a sense of excitement in the air. Performances are about sharing our gifts with others—whether it’s music, dance, drama, or even the courage it takes to step onto the stage.

When we perform, we often think about the audience watching us. Will they enjoy it? Will we remember all our parts? But the Bible reminds us that in everything we do, we are performing first and foremost for God.

Paul writes in Colossians 3:23:

"Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters."

This verse reminds us that our talents are gifts from God, and when we use them with joy, love, and dedication, it becomes an act of worship. School Concert is more than a show—it’s a celebration of creativity, teamwork, and the gifts God has given us to share with others.

As we prepare, let’s remember that God doesn’t ask for perfection, but for hearts that are willing to give their best.

Prayer: Dear Lord, Thank You for the wonderful gifts You have given each of us. As the Year 2s, 3s and 4s prepare for School Concert, help them use their talents with joy and courage. May the performance be a blessing. Remind us that whatever we do, we do for You.

Amen.
