Peter Ryall Memorial Competition

This morning our school was beautifully represented by the 31 students in our Grade 4/5/6 choir. I am immensely proud of the way they conducted themselves and projected their delightful voices to fill the Ulumbarra Theatre. Each school was graded by the adjudicator and all schools performing in our section were awarded the silver level. Great job superstars! Thank you to Mrs Bone for coming along with us and all of the parents who were there to support us. Below is an outline of the day from two of our choir members.

Choir write-up

Our choir arrived on a bus to the Ulumbarra Theatre to perform our three songs, 'Lanterns', 'Life without music' and 'A life that’s good'. There were three other choirs performing, St Peters, Moama Grammer and Kangaroo Flat choir. There were two performances before ours.

Halfway through the second performance, we went into the green room to warm up our voices and practice our songs. Then, it was our turn. We got ready to sing. And we sung. However, we started too early. Sadly, we had to restart the song. But we were still good. Then, after our other two songs were finished, we went off the stage and were able to watch the last performance.

Finally, when all the performances were finished, they announced the awards. Everyone was awarded a silver certificate. After all the awards got given out, we went outside to the track near the theatre for recess. Then, we lined up to get on the bus back to school. When we got back, we were all given silver ribbons. A great day was had by all, and we all feel proud of ourselves.
