Book Week

Last Monday, the Foundation students were very excited to attend their first ever Book Week Parade. Check out the photos below to see some of the wonderful costumes.

Students also enjoyed meeting Author and Illustrator Mark Wilson. He showed them how to draw a turtle and talked about how he creates his stories and illustrations. It was a wonderful experience to learn from a real author!

Buddies

Foundation students enjoyed a session with their Year 6 Buddies this week, working together to make paper toys such as chatterboxes, planes and boats. It was a fantastic opportunity to collaborate, practise creativity and share plenty of laughs. See the photos below for some of the fun!

Father's Day picnic and stall

Next Monday, 1st September, we will be hosting our Father’s, Grandfather’s and Special Friends picnic from 12:30–1:10pm. We look forward to meeting our special visitors near the Prep playground to enjoy lunch together.

All Foundation classes will be attending the Father’s Day Stall on Wednesday 3rd September. Please ensure that any money sent to school is kept in a named purse, wallet or snap lock bag. It would also be helpful to let your child know where you have placed the money in their bag, so they are aware and the morning can run smoothly. Most items available for purchase will be priced between $1 and $9. We kindly ask that students bring along a maximum of $10 which will allow everyone the opportunity to purchase items.

Wheels Parade - Wednesday 10th September

Unfortunately, we had to cancel the Wheels Parade this week due to the weather. We have now rescheduled this to Wednesday 10th September. The parade will begin at 9:10am.

Students are encouraged to bring along a toy or item that has wheels — such as a bike, scooter, pram or remote-control car. Parents are warmly invited to stay and watch the fun!

For safety, students riding bikes, scooters or wearing roller blades must wear a helmet. We also kindly ask that parents attending take home any large items (especially bikes) straight after the parade, as we have limited storage space in the classroom.
