Year 6

Book Week

It was amazing to see so many of the Grade 6 students get into the spirit of what will be their final Book Week at Vermont Primary School. The students took part in a variety of activities based upon this year's theme of "Book an Adventure". The week was capped off with a visit from award winning author and illustrator Mark Wilson  where he shared how he comes up with ideas for various stories and drawings for his books.

Inquiry Incursion

A reminder to families that payment and authorisation is due on Compass for the Grade 6 newsroom incursion. It will be taking place on Thursday 11th of September.

Science

The Grade 6 students have been enjoying taking part in a variety of experiments, making predictions and reasoning about their findings. We will be moving on to more experiments involving chemical and physical changes and looking for factors that affect the rate of reaction.

Production Costumes

This week the students were given a slip of paper detailing the rehearsals and production times as well as the costume needed for the role they have. These are very basic requirements and any students with a major role will have the costume provided. Please make sure that they have the outfit ready for the first full dress rehearsal on Wednesday 10th of September.

Friday 5th September-Rescheduled District Summer Sport 

Wednesday 10th September- Production Full Dress Rehearsal (At School)

Thursday 11th September-Grade 6 Newsroom Incursion

Friday 12th September- District Summer Sport Day 2

Tuesday 16th September - Production Tech Rehearsal @ Crossways during school hours

Wednesday 17th September - Production night

Thursday 18th September - Last day of term
