Book Week 2025 - Book an Adventure
Book Week Parade
Tuesday morning, our annual Book Week Character Dress-Up Parade saw our students and families go above and beyond to put together into creating such imaginative costumes. The collaborative groups dressed as characters from the same book were also wonderful to see.
Our teachers also shone with their spectacular outfits, showcasing their flair for creativity. Congratulations to all the costume winners! It was clear that everyone was a winner, thanks to the exceptional array of costumes on display. A huge thank you to the parents, carers, and friends who joined us to celebrate this magical event. Your support made the day even more special!
Grandparents' and Special Friends' Morning
On Wednesday morning, we had the pleasure of opening our classroom doors to grandparents and special friends to celebrate Book Week with our students. The morning was filled with excitement as students and their guests engaged in a range of fun activities designed to celebrate the joy of reading. It was a wonderful morning full of fun and connection.
We were thrilled to see so many grandparents and special friends join our students in their classrooms, sharing stories and participating in activities that highlighted the importance of literacy. Your presence and enthusiasm greatly enriched the experience for everyone involved.
Thank you to all the grandparents and special friends who joined us and made this Book Week celebration at CEPS such a special and memorable occasion. Your support and involvement were truly appreciated!
Book Fair
Thank you to all the families who supported our Book Fair this week! Your enthusiasm and generosity in purchasing a range of exciting books have truly made a difference. It was wonderful to witness the excitement on the students' faces as they selected their new reads and shared their eagerness to dive into their chosen books. Your support helps foster a love of reading and enriches our students' educational experiences.
Thank you
A huge thank you to our wonderful Book Week organising committee for their outstanding efforts in planning an incredible range of experiences for our students. Your dedication and hard work made the week truly special.
A big shout-out to Mrs. Douglas for bringing this event to life once again, and all the staff who worked closely alongside her. Your enthusiasm and commitment were evident in every activity and event, and we are grateful for your support in developing a love for reading among our students.
Thank you for making Book Week a memorable and enriching experience for everyone!

2023 Parent/Caregiver/Guardian Opinion Survey
Our school is conducting a survey for parents/caregivers/guardians to gain feedback on where the school is performing well and areas for future improvement.
This is an annual survey offered by the Department of Education that is designed to assist schools in gaining an understanding of families' perceptions of school climate, student behavior, and student engagement. The survey is optional, although we encourage all families to participate. Our school will use the survey results to help inform and direct future school planning and improvement strategies.
The Parent/Caregiver/Guardian Opinion Survey will be open from Monday 7 August to Friday 8 September 2023.

Parents Committee - Thank you
I would like to again acknowledge and thank our amazing Parents' Committee and all of their helpers for organising and providing last week's Special Food Day. The students (and staff) enjoyed their pizzas. We are fortunate at this school to have such a committed group of parents driving this work. Thank you also to our community for your support of these events. They would not be the success they are without the participation of our families.
Save the date: Parent Teacher Interviews – Tuesday 9 September
Parent-Teacher Interviews will be held on Tuesday 9 September from 1:00pm to 5:30pm. These 10-minute meetings provide a valuable opportunity to discuss your child’s progress, learning goals, and next steps as we move through the second half of the year.
Please note:
- Interview times are strictly limited to 10 minutes to ensure all families have the opportunity to meet with their child’s teacher.
- For students who are part of the Student Support Group (SSG) process, an SSG meeting will take the place of a regular interview. If this applies to your child, your classroom teacher will be in touch to arrange a time.
Bookings are now open.
We encourage all families to book a time and take part in this important conversation about their child’s learning.
Have a wonderful weekend,
Robert Ridgway
