Upcoming Important Dates and Information

Thursday 11th September
Year 2 Sleepover 2025 (GROUP 2 F/G/H/I/J)
Students will experience packing their belongings, completing scheduled events at school, eating and sleeping away from home and practise building their independence in packing up their sleeping space and getting ready for their day.
Students are able to wear neat casual clothing and closed shoes when returning to school on the 12/9/2025. They will require pyjamas for the overnight experience and neat casual clothing and closed shoes.
Friday 12th September
Year 6 Chinese Museum Excursion
Grade 6 students will be going on an exciting excursion to the Chinese Museum in the city. This museum is a special place where we can learn about the history of Chinese people in Australia, including the gold rush, traditional festivals, and how Chinese culture has helped shape our country.
Students will also explore Chinatown, and using direction words to support them finding interesting places in the city.
Monday 15th September
Year 9 Holocaust Museum Excursion
The Holocaust Museum Excursion will give students a unique opportunity to link their knowledge of their English text; Night with their emerging knowledge of WW2 and the impact of the Holocaust.
During the excursion students will visit the 'Everybody Had a Name' exhibition which show the sequence of events leading up to the outbreak of Nazism in Europe, the liberation of Concentration Camp and the aftermath.
They will also experience a artefact handling session with museum curators and their excursion will end with a Q+A session with a Holocaust Survivor.
Monday 15th September to Thursday 18th September
Prep Intensive Swim Program
Prep children will enjoy 4 days of an intensive swim program at Westbourne Grammar Sports & Aquatic Centre from Monday Sept 15 until Thursday Sept Sept 18.
They will have one 45 min swim lesson per day at the same time over the four days. Swim Sessions will follow the following format...
Session 1 9.00-9.45
Session 2 9.45-10.30
Session 3 10.30-11.15
Session 4 11.15-12.00
Session 5 12.30-1.15 (where required)

Year 5 Anglesea Discovery Camp- Monday 6th October to Wednesday 8th October
Anglesea Adventure Camp provides a unique and engaging outdoor experience for Grade 5 students, offering a variety of activities such as kayaking, rock climbing, bushwalking, abseiling, and archery.
Monday 13th October
On Monday 13th October Year 5 students will participate in an online incursion presented by Museums Victoria. During the session students will learn about how Earth changes over time, the difference between weather and climate, and the human impacts causing the climate to change.
Monday 27th October to Wendeday 29th October
Year 3 Group 1 Camp
Group 1 (3I, 3E, 3D, 3B, 3J) will go from 27th -29th October. The students will be staying for 2 nights and 3 days. They will travel by bus to the campsite.
Wednesday 29th October to Friday 31st October
Year 3 Group 2 Camp
Group 2 (3A, 3C, 3F, 3G, 3H) will go from 29th -31st October. The students will be staying for 2 nights and 3 days. They will travel by bus to the campsite.
Friday 14th November
Year 9 A, B, C Careers Excursion to Science Gallery group 1
On this excursion, students will have the opportunity to attend Melbourne Science Gallery where they will participate in the Distraction tour and how to detect AI module.
Students will participate in facilitator-led group activities and discussions that prompt critical thinking and provoke curiosity.
Staff will be at the Williams Landing station in Hi Vis vests.
Students will meet at Williams Landing station at 8:30 to get 8:45 train.
