From the Co-Principals

It's a wrap ...

2023 has been a year of excitement, energy and change. The community has enjoyed ‘restriction-free’ access to all that the school can offer – excursions, school events, camps, community and more! We have been able to rethink what it means to gather physically and been reminded of how much being together is at the core of Good Shepherd, and at the core of God’s plan for humanity.

God gives us the perfect example of this ‘being together’ community in the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. I pray that this Christmas you would know the love that Jesus has for you and that Christ would be at the centre of your family celebrations.

To those families whose formal contact with us draws to a close this year, I thank you for your time with us and wish you every blessing in your new school, work and home environments.

Finally, I want to thank the School Board and broader school community for their trust and confidence in me over the past 7 months, acting in the Co-Principal role. It was a privilege and an honour to be able to carry it out for this time. After a few weeks off, I look forward to resuming my role as a Deputy Principal in 2024!

God bless,

Brett Humphrys

... and a gift!

What a gift this year has been.

I see change as a gift, a chance to learn and grow.

I see children and families as a gift, opportunities to build relationships and to build the tapestry of my life.

What a gift the teaching and support staff are to our community one of support and creativity.

What a gift rest is, a chance to recover and play.

What a gift Jesus is ... the Saviour of the world, our connection to Father God.

I thank you for the trust and support that you have shown for me over the 2024 year.  May your break from school routines be blessed.
