As we approach the end of year it can be exciting for some, a time of celebration and looking forward to the future. For others, it may create worries- especially as change is a big part of moving from one year level to the next and with that comes further challenges, leaving the routine of coming to school, seeing friends everyday and also fatigue. It is the time when we can see difficulties in coming to school, emotions increasing and changes in behaviour.
Often, our kids that express reluctance to attend school cope very well once they are with their teachers and peers and go about their day in a familiar environment.
If your family is having difficulty getting to school please reach out to your child's teacher and/or Kirsty. We always encourage our kids to let us know if they need help but if we are not aware it is hard to support them in tough times.
