ART

Textiles

Students in Year 10 Textiles have been working hard to create their own individual Tote Bags.

They began by designing their Tote Bag developing several working drawings and researching inspirational images.

They learnt how to lay and cut fabric from a pattern, later exploring various techniques with seams and embellishments to create their own very unique Tote bag.

The embellishments have been printed images using NEXT State Print to print their image, embroidery, hand painting with fabric paint, attaching beads, screen printing, machine embroidery, patchwork and an iron on decal created by using our decal making CRICUT machine, to create some amazingly creative and unique bags.

Studio Arts

Year 10 Studio Arts students have worked with the theme of self-portrait for this semester, culminating in a folio of Reduction Lino Printing, Collage, and Mixed Media works on paper.

Students developed and refined their skills towards the completion of a highly finished collection of prints.

Here are three student’s folios showing each of their creative interpretation of the task; Sanoa Goncalves, Cameron Edwards and Borey Rith have all achieved highly finished works showcasing their skills in this field.
