The School Council were treated to a "walk through" of the Yaluk building last night.  The gym is the most prominent space due to its size, high ceilings and its capacity to hold large gatherings for the school community.  Standing on the stage and looking down into the gym was quite a treat for everyone.

During this last fortnight most of the external windows and doors have been installed so the building is getting close to the "lock-up" stage - hopefully before the break at Christmas.

It has been fun looking up to ceilings this week - the girls toilets feature a bright ochre ceiling.

The skylight in the corridor looks impressive now the plastering is nearly finished and the skylight window over the stage even has its own remote control blind.

The time line for practical completion of the building has been extended until the end of February.  However, we are not expecting to move into the new building until the start of Term 2, 2024. Once the builders have finished the school needs to schedule furniture deliveries, install ICT equipment purchased by the school and generally check that everything is in working order etc. before student move into the building.

Fencing has been changed around the school; the playgrounds now have similar internal fencing, and the school playgrounds are taking on a cohesive look and feel.
