Enrichment Program

Introduction to new program running in 2024

At Northcote, our school motto is to Follow the Better Path. Our Enrichment Program is designed so our students can discover what that path looks like for them and their futures. 

Each year students will embark on different enrichments that are designed to:

- Support them with their Academic program

- Connect them with their local communities

- Tap into their interests or discover new passions

- Challenge their capabilities

Some of these enrichments will be student-directed so they have choice over their program and others will be school-directed so we can challenge students to extend or support themselves in areas we believe will be of value to them. We look forward to seeing how our program grows over the next three years based on our students' feedback.

How it works

Each year students will receive enrichment options for their sub-school. They will rank their preferences in each category. Students will then be timetabled into options based on their preferences, learning needs, and school-identified priorities. Students in the junior and senior school will undertake enrichments for one lesson, once a fortnight. Middle school students will complete enrichments for one lesson, weekly.
