Year 8 Table Tennis
At the end of November our Year 8 boys' team went to compete in the State Table Tennis competition, a great achievement to win through to this stage. Asher Bartley, Leon McCormack, Hamish Gunthorpe and Clancy Saunders along with coaches Issac Bartley and Sam Heaton all spent the day at MSAC representing NHS. The opening round saw NHS take on Frankston HS who rose to the challenge and beat our lads in their first matches of the comp. Next up NHS faced King's College Warrnambool and although this match up was a lot closer, sadly the NHS team could not prevail. Their last round was up against Yarrawonga College. The boys played some amazing table tennis to get the edge in the end and walk out as victors in their last table tennis match of the year. All 4 players and the 2 coaches should be very proud of what they achieved. Although falling short they never once doubted their ability and never let a loss effect team morale. Credit to the lads for a stellar season.

The boys Table Tennis was our last inter school competition of the year. It's been fantastic to see so many students getting involved with the sports program this year, with a packed program of School Sport Victoria competitions. Win, lose or draw, students have forged new friendships and shown great support of team mates.
Thank you to all students, staff and parents for helping the sport department this year. Looking forward to an even better 2024.
