Year 9 Camp

At Long Last

Fun at Forest Edge

Initially delayed, the long-anticipated Year 9 Camp at Forest Edge in Waroona was a resounding success.

Excitement filled the air as students fully embraced the three-day adventure, undeterred by the soaring 38-degree temperatures. Hydration and sunscreen were key, ensuring safety during a jam-packed itinerary of thrilling activities.

The camp itinerary was brimming, from the Flying Fox to strategic challenges like raft building and kayaking. Other highlights included the crate climb, abseiling, bush walk, catapult building, and pamper pole activities, promoting teamwork and personal growth.

The evenings were lively, starting with a quiz on the first night, hosted by Mr Bochrinis, highlighting the students' knowledge and teamwork. The second night brought a well-earned Movie Night rest.

Huge thanks to our dedicated teachers - Ms Scheele, Ms de Witt, Mr Kang, Mr Heath, Ms Hewitt, and Mr Bochrinis, whose support made the camp a success.

The camp not only created lasting memories but fostered resilience, teamwork and a positive spirit among our Year 9s. We extend our gratitude to the camp staff at Forest Edge for making the camp a success and look forward to more shared adventures in the upcoming school year.

Mr Conrad Sloan
