Out-of-the-box Maths

It has been an exciting time in Maths.  This week we have created scale drawings of Perth landmarks, had the Year 7 Olympiad and used geometry to make some very pretty pictures. 

Last Friday we took all the Year 8 students to Curtin University where they completed a robotic activity, Lego activity and tested their skills on the Maths break out box challenges.

On another excursion to Curtin University, a group of Year 9 girls attended an engineering day in which we learned about what a day in the life of an engineer is like and participated in hands-on activities.

Thank you for another great year in Maths at George's! We look forward to seeing you all back with us again in 2024.
