Anglicare Ambassadors

Thank you very much for your kind donations

Every Christmas Anglicare invites schools to donate backpacks and stationery to be given to primary school students whose parents would not be able to afford these items for the start of the 2024 school year.

Kelly Keall, the Anglicare Community Engagement Manager for Philanthropy and Enterprise, collected our donations on Wednesday. These donations will be sorted and distributed to families for Christmas.

Once again, I thank the St George's school community for their generosity. The true spirit of St George's is alive and well.

Baptism and Confirmations

Last week, on the feast of Christ the King, The Most Reverend Kay Goldsworthy AO, Archbishop of Perth, Baptised and Confirmed Amir (Year 10) and Confirmed Kiera (Year 10) and Max (Year 9) into the Christian Church in the Anglican Archdiocese of Perth.

In the picture, Archbishop Kay is handing Amir his Baptismal candle, symbolising the light of Christ now aflame in his heart and a sign of his public commitment to the world.

Amir, Kiera and Max were supported by their official sponsors and their families. After the service, they joined the Cathedral community for the 'Big Cathedral Lunch'.

Congratulations Amir, Kiera and Max. You are a shining light in the St George's school community and a symbol of hope for the Church of God in the world.
