Hats, caps, slouches and berets off to Scott Irvine (Year 10) and Aidan Milligan (Year 9) who have been recognised by the Australian Air Force Cadets.
These two St George's superstars received accolades for their commitment to the services.
Scott received the officer's commendation award at RAF Cadets, while Aidan was named in the Air Cadets as the ‘Most Improved Drill Squad Cadet 2023’. We salute you!
Three of our Year 9 students have been selected to be involved in a month long student exchange with Cathedral College Wangaratta.
Congratulations to Maisy Liddow Morrow, Holly Evans and Tahala Mazibeli for being selected as the St George’s Ambassadors to head East next year. Cathedral College students will be joining us in March to experience life in a city school and the St George’s students will be heading to Victoria hopeful of seeing snow in August 2024.
The exchange will be offered again to students in 2025.
Macy, pictured at her Health Science Hub graduation, enjoyed the year so much she is taking the next step – and enrolled for a Cert IV.
Congratulations to St George’s competitors and Head of PE Ms Scheele for our school’s incredible success in the first-ever WA schools Open-water Swimming Championships. We came first in the Year 9/10 500m (Anouk, below left) and third place in the relay (our team, below right)
