From the Classroom

Lead to Sustainability Excursion | YEAR 6
Last Friday, the Year 6 environment team went to the Currawong Bush Park for the annual 'Lead to Sustain' event. During the day, we participated in many different activities that promoted sustainability, such as a bush walk, scavenger hunt, water insect search, energy renewal and waste management. We even got to meet and hold Australian animals!
Whilst we ate our lunch, we saw kangaroos as they hopped by. Even though it rained all day, we still enjoyed the activity rotations and meeting other environmentally enthusiastic students from other schools. It was amazing to learn new ways to be sustainable at home and school.
Thank you to the Manningham Council for organising and running the day!

🌟 Foundation Students Become Storytellers!
Over the past few weeks, the Foundation students have been busy crafting their very own stories — and what amazing storytellers they are! This term, we’ve been learning how to build exciting settings, create interesting characters, and explore a problem and a solution in our writing.
Some stories had happy endings, while others took a sad or surprising twist, but every piece showed wonderful imagination and creativity. Students enjoyed using prompts to spark ideas or letting their imaginations run wild to come up with completely original tales.
We are so proud of the effort, enthusiasm, and storytelling skills our young writers have shown — well done, Foundation!
