Principal Reflections

Dear Parents and Carers,

Congratulations Mrs Sheridan

As shared yesterday by our Director of Catholic Schools, Regina Menz, we are thrilled to announce that Mrs Amanda Sheridan has been appointed as the new Principal of St Joseph’s School, Quirindi.

While we will be very sad to see Mrs Sheridan leave St Edward’s, we are so proud of her and excited for the fantastic opportunity that lies ahead. Her leadership, care, and commitment have had a profoundly positive impact on our school community, and we know that she will continue to inspire others in her new role.

We will come together later in the term to properly thank and farewell Mrs Sheridan.

The process to appoint a new Assistant Principal for St Edward’s has now begun, and I look forward to sharing updates with our community as this progresses.

Remembrance Day

Attending Remembrance Day ceremonies is a powerful way to honour the sacrifices made by service members throughout history. These ceremonies provide an opportunity to pause, reflect, and acknowledge the bravery and dedication of those who have served and continue to serve. By attending, we show respect not only for those who gave their lives, but also for the values of freedom, peace and unity they fought to protect. It's a collective act of gratitude, keeping their memories alive in our hearts and passing on the importance of their sacrifices to future generations. This year at each campus, all of our students participated in a service to commemorate Remembrance Day. I also had the pleasure of accompanying Jimmy and Ivy at the service at the Town Hall.
