Spotlight on Learning Eclipse

This term, Eclipse Pod has jumped into learning with great enthusiasm and positivity. At the beginning of the term, we took some valuable time to revisit and consolidate the key concepts we covered last term. This reflection not only helped deepen understanding but also set a strong foundation for new learning ahead. It was inspiring to see students actively engaged and eager to connect prior knowledge with upcoming topics.

One of the highlights of our revision was the introduction of sketchnoting as a learning strategy. Sketchnoting is a creative and visual way of taking notes that combines words, symbols, and drawings. This approach allowed students to express their understanding in a fun and personal way, making abstract ideas more concrete and memorable. It was wonderful to witness how students used colours, shapes, and simple illustrations to organise information and share their thinking with peers.

Overall, the positive energy and collaborative spirit in our classroom have been fantastic. By revising through sketchnoting, students not only reinforced their learning but also developed important skills in creativity, communication, and critical thinking. We are all looking forward to continuing this dynamic and engaging learning journey throughout the term!
