💙Road Safety with Little Blue Dinosaur Foundation💙
This week, we were lucky to welcome Michelle McLaughlan from the Little Blue Dinosaur Foundation to speak with our Foundation to Year 6 students about road safety. Michelle shared important messages about staying safe around roads, driveways, and car parks—especially during the busy holiday season. Through sharing her personal story and engaging discussions, students learned how to make safe choices, stay alert, and always hold an adult’s hand when near traffic.
We’re so grateful to Michelle and the Little Blue Dinosaur Foundation for helping our students understand how to keep themselves and others safe in their everyday lives.
🌸Remembrance Day🌸
On Tuesday we gathered as a whole College community for a Remembrance Day prayer service. Led by our Defence student members, it was a time to remember and acknowledge all members of the Armed Forces - those who never came home, those who served and all men and women who continue to serve today. A special thank you to Mr Dudfield, Nic L and Yenuli D (Yr 6) for adding so much to our service by playing the Last Post and the Rouse.
At the same time, our Year 6 Leaders, together with Felix Muscovich (Yr 11) and Mr Smith, represented the College at the Seymour RSL service at the Seymour Hospital. The students laid a wreath and Felix, on behalf of Ms Annabelle Cleeland MP, read a poem as a reflection.
We will remember them
Lest We Forget
🌟Congratulations🌟
Congratulations to Livani Palmer (Yr 6), who is performing in the SPW production of Sweeney Todd. Livani was also the lead in the Charlie and the Chocolate Factory earlier in the year and is doing an amazing job in the newest production. Well done, Livani. We are all very proud of you!
💛Seymour Rotary 💛
Every year Seymour Rotary offers local Year 6 students the opportunity to participate in a community project. Students must complete over 20 hours of community work in a variety of settings - helping at a community facility, participating in sporting events, learning about different cultures amongst other tasks. Two students at St Marys - Yenuli Dissanayake and Vader McKenzie have completed the six-month challenge and will be presented with their Award at a Rotary Dinner on Monday night. This is a fantastic achievement by both girls. We are very proud of you both!
🌿Pioneer Park🌿
Year 6 are continuing their community project across at Pioneer Park. They head over every fortnight to clean up around the park and ensure that it is clean and tidy for people as they walk through. Well done Year 6 - Keep up the great work!
