VCE/VM

As we farewelled our Year 12 VCE VM students we continued to roll into completing Year 11. We completed a Numeracy assessment in Melbourne, bowled in Shepparton, completed our PDS community project and enjoyed the last few weeks together as the Year 11 VCE VM cohort of 2025.
Before we share all of our activities we would like to take the time to farewell two of our Year 11 students Mason and Owen who have both secured apprenticeships in their future career pathways. Mason and Owen we wish you both all the best for success in the future. Thank you for both for all that you have brought to the class this year, you will be missed!
Numeracy Melbourne Scavenger Hunt
On October 30, Year 11 students showcased their skills in direction by completing a scavenger hunt in the Melbourne CBD. Students completed a number of tasks and challenges and showed a great improvement in their knowledge of the CBD and their use of public transport.
Well done to Brandon, Connor, Fletcher and Lucas for taking out the Scavenger Hunt win with an impressive 94 points.
Shepparton Bowling
On 6th November , Year 11 students, accompanied by the Year 10 Ignite students, caught a coach to Shepparton. As part of the trip students visited the location of the Go Tafe campus in Shepparton (in preparation for some students completing courses they are in 2026) before playing a game of bowling at Oz Ten Pin.
Well done to Brandon for winning the day achieving the highest score of the group, 124.
PDS Community Project – Saying thank you
As part of their PDS studies Year 11 students have undertaken a community project. Students have been learning about the importance of community and decided as a group they wanted to say thank you to the many services and organisations that bring so much to Seymour. They decided to do this by creating thank you hampers, filled with goodies for morning tea, including some homemade baked items. To fundraise students have been selling Zooper Doopers at lunchtime and we would like to thank all students who purchased an icy pole for their contribution to our project.
Students delivered these packages yesterday and we hope they are enjoyed by all who received them.
