A Morning of Music, Movement and Magic
Who doesn’t enjoy a little ‘jam on toast’? This week our toddlers and preschoolers joined our prep girls for a wonderful music concert, tailored specifically for our early learners. Jamie Madsen’s “Jam on Toast” concert certainly captivated our little ones, who embraced Jamie’s foot-stomping, hand clapping performance with wide-eyed enthusiasm.
As Jamie played the opening cords to “Papa’s making pizza”, squeals of delight erupted with over eighty little voices joining in harmony, singing along to the familiar lyrics they have been learning in Mrs Muston’s music classes this year. Several of our brave preschoolers even had the opportunity to come on stage to perform in front of their friends. We were very impressed by their confidence and bravery, as they epitomised Kambala’s core value of ‘Courage’.
Jamie’s interactive concert and workshop was deemed “Fabuloso” by the children, and wove seamlessly into our Hampshire House Reggio Emilia philosophy, in which each child speaks “100 languages” of expression. The stage offered our children the opportunity to be confident creators, musicians, singers, dancers and storytellers. A huge thank you to Mrs Muston for her hard work this year, nurturing our little performers. It was pure delight to witness the unbridled joy in every clap, twirl, and giggle. A gentle reminder of how music’s magic, stirred with a dollop of ‘strawberry jam,’ tastes so incredibly sweet!
