Boarding

Our Year 12 students have now officially left the Boarding House, they have completed their exams and begun their well-earned summer holidays. They have been focused and dedicated throughout the year, and we wish them all the very best when their results are released.

This past Friday I had the pleasure of attending the Year 10 Music Showcase with a group of our boarders. We were there to support Eve, who was performing on the piano. Eve’s performance was hugely impressive, and we were all incredibly proud of her confidence and skill in performing so beautifully in front of a full audience.

We have also begun preparing our incoming students for the 2026 Boarding year. Each new boarder has been contacted by an existing student who will act as their buddy, helping to answer questions and support them as they get ready for the new school year.

Over the coming weeks, our Year 10 students will take part in their Readiness Program in preparation for next year, while our Year 9 students will be sitting their exams this week. We wish them all the best for a productive and successful end to the term.

Weekend Recreational Activities

Weekend 4: Bondi Beach

A windy day led us to Bondi beach. Strolling through the markets, looking at all the beautiful crafts and gift items, was very helpful for those early Christmas ideas. We then headed down to the beach where the warm sun was enjoyed despite the persistent wind. No one was brave enough to swim in the still chilly waves, but everyone still enjoyed the warm sand and fresh ocean air. Bondi Beach would not be complete without the mandatory Yo-Chi visit, so off we went! Smiles all round for this spring Sunday.

Weekend 5: Kambala Boarders enjoy a sunshine-filled afternoon at Redleaf

Last weekend, our Kambala boarders soaked up the early summer sunshine with a refreshing afternoon outing to the beautiful Redleaf Harbour Pool. The weather could not have been more perfect for a swim, and the girls made the most of the chance to relax in the water, enjoy the harbour views, and unwind together after a busy few weeks at school.

After their swim, the girls made their way to Double Bay for a well-earned treat at Yo-Chi. Creating their own frozen yoghurt masterpieces is always a highlight and also a fun way to cool down and refuel before heading back to the Boarding House.

It was a wonderful afternoon of sunshine, and fun, and a great reminder of how lucky we are to have such stunning places right on our doorstep.
