Whats been happening around the school..

Temporary Entrance Garden
Our Hands On Learning team have whipped up a new school entrance garden bed.
“We recycled sleepers from the old garden to make a border and pathway around the tree. I measured 45 degree angles, then used a saw to cut the sleepers. We were exhilarated with the final results!” - Malahkai
Grade 3, 4, 5 Camp Kookaburra
In Week 4, our Grade 3, 4 and 5 students set off on their long-awaited adventure to Camp Kookaburra! Departing school on Monday morning, the buses were buzzing with excitement as students looked forward to a few fun-filled days away.
Upon arrival, students were warmly welcomed by the friendly camp staff, who gave them a tour of the grounds and introduced them to the many exciting activities on offer. After unpacking and settling into their cabins, it was time to dive straight into the fun!
Throughout their time on camp, students challenged themselves and supported one another through a range of activities, including canoeing, low ropes, flying fox, rock climbing, archery, bouldering, initiatives and orienteering. Evenings were just as enjoyable, with highlights including a night walk, movie night, and plenty of free time spent playing gaga ball, tennis, basketball, volleyball, and games in the recreation room.
Overall, students had a fantastic time away, coming home with big smiles, great memories and lots of stories to share about their adventures.

Footsteps in Foundation
We had a fantastic start to our Foundation Transition program with our Smart Cookie session. After watching the story, students talked about what makes them special and shared why they are a “smart cookie.”
It was a wonderful chance to build confidence, practise early writing skills, and show their personalities.
Students finished by sharing their work with a partner and decorating a real cookie to take home. We loved meeting our future Preps and look forward to the next session!
