Home inquiry: Preparing for Sustainability Action Week! Students have selected an action that they are aiming to do throughout Week 7 that helps sustain our environment. As a cluster, the ¾ teachers will be giving up printing and photocopying! Have a chat to your child about which action they have chosen and why.

Reader’s and Writer’s Workshop: We are continuing to read the book ‘The Lorax’ and how we are impacting the earth. We will also be watching the movie and will be doing a text comparison. We will be finalising our persuasive texts, which relate to our chosen act of sustainability.
Mathematics: Next week we will be doing a daily audit on the items in our lunchboxes – what waste are we bringing in? We will be tallying the data and at the end of the week will be representing this in different ways. We will then we explaining what action we may be able to take about our findings.
Reminders and information:
Sustainability Action Week – Week 7
Students have selected an action that they are aiming to do throughout Week 7 that helps sustain our environment. They have been given relatively free range with what they would like to do, ideally we’d like it to be something different to what they are doing already.
Please have a chat with your child about their action and discuss how it will work with your individual circumstances. The intent is to not be an extra burden to families, but a change that is manageable. It does not need to be done every day (ie. walking to school).
Christmas Concert – Friday 28th November (Week 7)
Our Christmas concert is fast approaching. For this amazing event, we ask the following:
Children are dropped to the classroom at 6:45pm
Year ¾ children are to be dressed in a purple top/dress and purple skirt or plain shorts/pants.
Details about choir and band dress codes will be notified via letter sent home.
