Principal's Report
Dear Parents/Guardians and friends of Nazareth
As we end the term, I want to acknowledge our staff members for doing all their little extra tasks without recognition, payment or time allowance. Many of these tasks are simply offered to students to enhance their learning or enjoyment at school. Clubs such as Chess Club, Lego Club, sports training, Homework Club, tuition during lunch, E-Sports, Breakfast Club St Anthony’s tutoring and many more, these help our students remain engaged and doing things that they enjoy.
I thank staff members who organise things like the Year 10 Social, formals and Valedictory Evenings also. Our students and community would not be able to engage in these activities if staff members did not make themselves available.
This week, there have been a number of interviews at each year level for those students who are applying for 2025 scholarships. As a principal, it is one of the most rewarding times of the year to experience how many young people utilise their talents to their advantage. Our young people are great ambassadors for our College and their families. We haven’t finalised the scholarship process yet and look to announcing the names of the winning recipients within the first month of Term 4.
This week, we also conducted meetings with our potential 2025 school captains. Each of the candidates has presented themselves outstandingly. The announcement for Captains will be made next term, also.
In conclusion, I wish our Year 12 students all the very best in their final weeks at Nazareth. We hope each of them utilises their time wisely in preparation for exams or work, and life after Year 12.
God Bless, and thank you for your support.
Mr Sam Cosentino
