These were St Mary Mackillop's famous words. What can we do at Holy Family to help those in need outside of our walls? 

There is an opportunity for families in the holidays on 11th October to come and make 

make sandwiches for Vinnies Van Services who look after the homeless and marginalised of Sydney. If you are free from 9 - 10 am and can bring in a wholemeal loaf of bread into school to do this that would be great. Fillings will be provided. So far we have three families from Year 4 interested but I would love 3 more from any other year! email me on anne.gray1@dbb.catholic.edu.au if you can do this. 

 If you or your child are interested in being readers together for any family Masses at the Parish then please email youth@lindfieldkillara.org.au. It is always great for parents to role model reading and celebrate together. Our next on is on September 22nd at 10.15 am.

Today, 12 September 2024, is R U OK? Day. But life happens every day, so we're calling on people across Australia to ask R U OK? Any Day. 

R U Ok Day prayer cards were given out to the eldest in each family today. I hope you received one. Why not put it on the fridge and use it at family mealtimes sometime this week to pray? Showing kindness every day is something instilled in the children anyway but it's always good to have a reminder and ask, "What would Jesus do?" 

SPAR or Stop Pray And Reflect is on next Friday 20th September (every 3rd Friday of the month) at 8.45 am in the prayer room for parents for half an hour. One parents reaction to SPAR....

"It was lovely to start the day with a prayer meeting. I greatly appreciate the opportunity this affords me to have a quiet time to reflect on the important things in our lives."

Fr Stephen visited Year 4 today as they are about 

to start their preparation for First Eucharist. 

Coffee Connect is on every first Thursday of the month at Moore Cafe in West Lindfield. Just turn up for two minutes or more. We always have fun!
