Child Protection Week 17th - 21st September
Child Protection Week is a federal government initiative which aims to educate all of our community about ways children can stay safe. This year’s powerful message is ‘Every child in every community needs a fair go’ which is complemented by the theme ‘Every conversation matters’. This event aims to engage, educate and empower all Australians with regards to both understanding child abuse and neglect and working together as a community to safeguard our children by implementing preventive measures
This year students will be involved in the mandatory subject Personal Development, Health and Physical Education (PDHPE). Part of our school’s PDHPE program includes mandatory child protection education. Some of the content taught in child protection education deals with sensitive issues.
