HOLIDAY SWIM

Now is the time to get those last-minute enrolments in!

Online enrolments will be closing soon, and we don't want you to miss out on booking your children in for Holiday Swim!

The main aims of the program are 

  • Teach children critical life-saving skills
  • Teach basic swimming skills
  • Equip kids with the knowledge to stay safe in, on and around the water.

The program is AFFORDABLE so that it remains ACCESSIBLE to families and communities that might otherwise miss out on the opportunity to participate in swimming lessons.

Royal Life Saving also offers pathways into the aquatic industry with their ICONIC Bronze Awards.  The Bronze Star, Bronze Medallion, Bronze Cross, Award of Merit and Distinction levels are designed for those wanting to further their knowledge and skill set, before moving into the aquatic industry as Lifeguards and Swim Teachers within their local communities.

The program is returning in December 2024 and January 2025 with the Royal Life Saving Swim and Survive program. PROGRAM FEES$41.50 per child ( additional pool entry fees may apply)

Civic Park Carols 2024

Get ready to embrace the magic of the season at Civic Park Carols 2024, where we'll be bringing you a stellar night filled with joy, music, and holiday spirit! This is an unforgettable evening of festive fun that will captivate the whole family.

  • Date: Sunday 15 December 2024
  • Where: Civic Park, North East Road, Modbury

Pre-show extravaganza - 5pm

Our local and most loved performers and artists will be getting the Christmas cheer rolling by bringing their unique harmony and dazzling energy to the stage that will be sure to wow the audience.

Main show spectacular - 7.30pm

As we come together to share the holiday spirit, our feel-good main show will kick off at 7.30pm, featuring an excellent line up of local talent. Come and celebrate the festive season with your local community.

Special guest vocalists

This year we feature two guest vocalists. Justine Clarke and Tim Campbell will be joinging centre stage. 

Christmas Village

Head on over to the Christmas Village to enjoy a wide variety of food and drinks, roving performers and children's activities.

Livestream

Waterworld will be livestreaming Civic Park Carols on the big screen! Bookings essential - more information coming soon.

Freedom Wheels

To celebrate the International Day of People with Disabilities, a local event will be held in Modbury.

Please help spread the word by sharing this event with teachers or including it in your newsletter.

 

The City of Tea Tree Gully has sponsored TADSA, an organisation that customises bicycles for people with disabilities, to host a free, inclusive family event at the Road and Cycle Safety Centre.

Families with disabilities are invited to ride, walk, and roll, meet Santa, and BYO picnic.
