What's Happening

Mini Mac Market

As part of a unit on financial numeracy,  the Grade 6 students have been busily planning and preparing to sell products at our annual Mini Mac Market.

Students from Foundation to Grade 5 will visit the market between 12:20-2:00pm on Friday the 18th October.

The price of items will range from 30 cents to $2.50. The profits from this market will help fund the Grade 6 Graduation Event.

Students are encouraged to bring along a small amount of money to make some purchases at the market.

Thank you for supporting what will be a great opportunity for our students.

Victorian Coding Challenge

Dear Parents, Carers and the Robbie Mac community,

We are excited to share that Robbie Mac will once again be participating in the prestigious Victorian Coding Challenge run by Mathematics Australia, on Thursday, October 31st, and hoping to defend our title.

This initiative is a fantastic opportunity for our school to engage with an event that not only showcases our students' coding talents but also fosters teamwork and healthy competition.

All students in grades 5 and 6 were invited to participate in Stage 1 challenges during lunchtime at school, requiring students to apply coding and algorithmic thinking in order to solve problems. Eight children from Stage 1have been chosen to represent the school in stage 2, after participating in a rigorous process that assessed their coding abilities, attendance at lunchtime practices, teamwork skills, and enthusiasm. Congratulations to Celine, Zoe, Robin, Ethan G, Lac, Coen, Dylan G and Dylan C.

Our involvement in this competition reflects our commitment to extending curious minds and nurturing passions

We can’t wait to see how our talented representatives will shine in this exciting competition!

Warm regards,

Ms Browne
