St Finbar's V SJA Footy Day

What a special day in the calendar, we are so lucky to have such a great bunch of families at St Finbars, even our friends at SJA commented about how wonderful our community is. 

Massive thanks to the dad’s committee that did such an incredible job planning this event. 

Here is a wrap up from Colin Ho regarding the kid’s match:

I had the absolute pleasure of coaching St Finbar Primary School team against St Joan Of Arc Primary in the Curtain Raiser to the Dads match.

In the pre game address I had all the players link arms.

I told them to look at the person next to them, and told them are all representing St Finbar's, their teammates and their families 

Be proud!

I had 3 Simple Rules

1) Be first to the Ball

2) Use your voice

3) Have fun

We saw some great passages of play with some slick hand balls , strong marking and great team work.

Really proud of how kids played with great sportsmanship and spirit.

We were able to walk away with the WIN due to a strong last quarter kicking 2 goals into a breeze.

I am 2 victories from 2 games for St Finbars after making coaching debut in 2019 when Elijah was in Grade 5.

Had an absolute ball seeing all the smiling faces enjoying playing footy.
