Operation Christmas Child – Shoeboxes. A global activity of Samaritan’s Purse.

Each year we have a wonderful  opportunity to join in this wonderful Christian initiative to pack a shoeboxes for a children in  poor and needy countries around the world.

At Calrossy,  Christmas Boxes can be collected from school receptions at BSC or WCC Campuses or the Boarding Office.

Once you have decided to do a shoebox for a boy or a girl and the age of the child you can fill your box!

Into the shoebox you can place the following items.

  • Something to love. Eg, A soft toy or small teddy.
  • Something to assist learning. Eg, Coloured pencils or note pads.
  • Something to wear. Eg, some simple clothing.
  • Something special. Eg, A bracelet, sunglasses or a torch.
  • Something to assist with personal hygiene. Eg, a tooth brush or facewasher.
  • Something to play. Eg, a ball, toy, small game.

In addition to the packed shoebox it would helpful if you could include $10 postage. This can be paid on line or by cash.

Alternatively, if you would like to drop in any of the items listed above to one of the receptions they could be include in the boxes the Boarders will fill towards the end of this term!

Boxes would need to be returned to Calrossy receptions by no later than Friday 18th October.

Many thanks again for your support and kindness in  this amazing gift of hope!

Well wishes

We are wishing our ever dynamic Calrossy Career's Advisor the best with his bid for election to the Tamworth Regional Council this weekend.

Mr Impey has previously been on Council and is keen to let the Calrossy community know that he is not leaving the school. If elected he says he will put his energy into the community just as he does and always will at Calrossy.
