Netball Tournament

Team Vic - National Tournament 

In the 2nd last week of Term 3, I was the team manager for the 12 year old boys Team Vic Netball team who competed at the School Sport Australia National Championship. The team was made up of 12 players from across different Victorian schools who were selected to represent Team Vic. 

The SSA National Tournament was held in Melbourne and the team competed against other teams from NSW, QLD, ACT, SA and WA. This was only the second year that the boys team has participated in the tournament. They played 10 games across the week long tournament and managed to stay undefeated for the whole tournament. After winning all the games, Team Vic was crowned National Champions!!

My role as team manager was to make sure all the players knew the times and locations of all the training sessions and games. I was also responsible for communicating with the families and organising team bonding activities. 

This was my first time being involved with the netball team and really enjoyed the week. I feel very lucky to get to experience being a part of representing Victoria at the School Sport Australia National Championship.
