Hello from Prep V
The Adventures of Prep V!
Wow, what a whirlwind Term 3 has been! As we approach the holidays, we’re all ready to kick back, relax, and possibly sleep in until noon (hey, a Prep teacher can dream too!).
Term 3 has been packed with excitement and learning. We kicked things off by celebrating 100 days of Prep - yes, that's 100 days of giggles, laughter, stories and learning. To mark this milestone, we dressed up as 100-year-olds, proving that our future selves will definitely have a flair for fashion… or at least a talent for accessorising with walkers and walking sticks!
We also had a STEM-tastic afternoon, where parents and children teamed up to build towers and bridges. Who knew that stacking blocks could lead to such intense negotiations over the optimal height of a tower? Our little engineers and their equally enthusiastic parents might just be on their way to designing the next architectural marvel.
This Term, we also added a splash of Olympic flair with our very own Mini Olympics! The children had a blast competing in events that ranged from the intense "Three-Legged Race of Triumph" to the prestigious "Egg and Spoon Race."
The Melbourne Zoo excursion was a roaring success. The children delved into the fascinating world of animal habitats, while our Grade 5 Buddies helped them create dioramas. Watching them work together was like witnessing mini-David Attenborough's in action—minus the British accent and with a lot more glue and clay.
Let's not forget the grand finale! Prep graced the stage with their performance at the annual school musical alongside Year 6. Their dedication to learning the choreography was truly impressive.
